Welcome to Occupational Health Service
The Occupational Health Service is part of Telford & Wrekin Primary Care Trust. It is a well-established service having functioned since the 1980’s with a strong commitment to improve knowledge and service provision both within the NHS and the private sector. We currently provide services to the NHS and private enterprises within Shropshire and Staffordshire. We also provide services nationally to several larger companies both individually, and through our alignment with NHS Plus, a network of NHS Occupational Health departments that provide services to the private sector and assist one another as required.
All work undertaken by our Service is governed by Telford & Wrekin PCT, National Medical Council, and Department of Health policies, guidance, and best practice principles.
The Occupational Health Service Management Team and Shropshire Occupational Health Advisers are based at the Professional Centre at Gains Park, Shrewsbury and we also have a team based at our Occupational Health Unit in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent.
We are a multi-disciplinary team of 32 staff with wide experience in occupational health consisting of nurses with occupational health and safety qualifications, trainee occupational health nurses, occupational health technicians and occupational health physicians.
Telford & Wrekin Primary Care Trust OH Services also form part of NHS Plus which is a network of NHS Occupational Health departments that provide services to the private sector and assist one another as required.
We can help you to comply with Health and Safety and other current legislation, advise on fitness to work and job design, help to protect against hazards in the workplace and promote health within the workforce.
